Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Inskriba (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. The Platform

Inskriba is an invite-only literary magazine and community that publishes essays, research, podcasts, and curated collections. Access to writer and submission features requires an invitation.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain ownership of work you submit. By submitting, you grant Inskriba a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, and display your work on the Platform and in associated channels (newsletter, social media promotion).
  • Editorial discretion: Submission does not guarantee publication. All content is subject to editorial review.
  • Platform content: Site design, branding, and editorial curation are the intellectual property of Inskriba.
  • Original work: You represent that submissions are your own original work and do not infringe any third-party rights.

5. Contributor Payments

Selected contributors may receive payment as outlined during the submission process. Payment terms, amounts, and schedules are communicated separately and form part of these terms when accepted.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit plagiarised, AI-generated, or fraudulent content.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or team members.
  • Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access.
  • Use automated tools to scrape content or abuse platform features.
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures.

7. Newsletter & Communications

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receive periodic editorial updates. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. We comply with applicable anti-spam legislation.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Inskriba is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, including for breach of these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform or email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Inskriba operates. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
